Truelancer Internet Private Limited ("Truelancer", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal and project data shared with us in connection with our AI Services. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and safeguard information when you engage with our AI data services such as data collection, annotation, transcription, review, and model evaluation.

1. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to all users (clients and collaborators) engaging with Truelancer's AI Services, including:

  • Speech and multimedia data collection
  • Image/video/text/audio annotation
  • Transcription and translation
  • Quality control and model evaluation
  • Synthetic data generation

2. Information We Collect

a. Client-Provided Data

We may collect and process:

  • Input datasets (audio files, images, videos, text corpora, etc.)
  • Metadata, taxonomies, and labeling instructions
  • Project documentation and feedback
  • Contact information (name, email, role)

b. Operational Metadata

We collect data during service execution, such as:

  • Annotation time logs, accuracy metrics, and feedback loops
  • Quality control reports
  • Freelancer task assignments and performance scores

c. Freelancer and Contributor Data

For contributors involved in AI tasks, we may collect:

  • Demographic info (if relevant to the dataset)
  • NDA acceptance records
  • Task submission history

3. How We Use the Data

We use collected data to:

  • Execute and improve AI Services
  • Ensure task accuracy through QA and performance tracking
  • Communicate with clients and freelancers about projects
  • Comply with legal or contractual obligations

We do not use client data for training our own models or for any purpose unrelated to fulfilling the client's project.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

Data is only shared with:

  • Vetted freelancers under signed Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
  • Truelancer's internal QA and project teams
  • Subprocessors under strict confidentiality and data protection clauses (e.g., secure storage providers)

Any subcontracting involving third parties is disclosed in advance in the service agreement or Statement of Work (SOW).

5. Data Retention

  • Project data is retained only as long as required to deliver the services or comply with legal/accounting requirements.
  • Upon project completion, data is deleted after a standard retention period (e.g., 60 days) unless otherwise requested.
  • Clients may request early deletion or archival options in writing.

6. Security Measures

We maintain technical and organizational safeguards including:

  • End-to-end data encryption (at rest and in transit)
  • Role-based access control (RBAC)
  • Regular audits of freelancer task history and NDA compliance
  • GDPR/CCPA-compliant data handling processes

Client data is always processed within secure, access-controlled environments.

7. Your Rights

As a client or data owner, you have the right to:

  • Request access, correction, or deletion of your data
  • Receive details about data usage
  • Limit or withdraw consent for specific processing operations
  • Raise concerns with a data protection authority if you believe your rights were violated

8. International Data Transfers

Due to the global nature of our freelancer network, data may be accessed by freelancers or reviewers in various countries. All such access is:

  • Governed by NDAs and restricted by access tools
  • Logged and monitored
  • Covered under appropriate data transfer mechanisms (e.g., SCCs)

Clients can request region-specific workforces to limit geographic access.

9. Children's Data

We do not knowingly collect or process data from children under 16 years of age. Clients must ensure that any data shared with us complies with age-related legal requirements.

10. Policy Updates

We may revise this Privacy Policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be notified via email or through your account dashboard.
